I have bought so many eggs on ebay and then because of a power failure or not turning properly or some other factor (like the eggs I bought are a bit too large for my incubator), I have poor hatch rate or deformities of the feet. I have found the most beneficial method to hatch eggs bought on ebay is to watch your own flock for a broody hen of your own. I test this by always keeping a couple of golf balls in the nesting boxes. If you notice a hen getting broody (wanting to sit eggs all the time and sitting on those golf balls) get on ebay and buy the eggs of your dreams. Immediately out of the box, you can place the eggs under your broody hen. She doesn't care if they are guinea, quail, turkey or peacock. They are eggs. I have a much greater hatch rate with this method and then you don't need a brooder box to keep them in because they have a Mama. I bought 10 Americana eggs and all but one hatched (the one that didn't wasn't fertile). That is much better than the 50% rate I normally have with an incubator. You don't have to worry about bacteria build up, water levels or cleaning out brooder boxes when the babies hatch. Don't have a broody hen??? Then I recommend you try any bantam breed, or silkies. They adore sitting eggs, it is their lifes' passion. I keep 2 just for that purpose alone and they have hatched everything from guineas to turkeys(a big egg for such a little bird). It is so much easier than having to use the incubator (less messy as well). It is also great fun to watch a hen mother a bird that is not even a chicken.
