How Does It Work?
1: Find an item of value that still has market appeal. 2: Head out to your local reputible eBay Trading Post. ( Dropit 2 Profit, Bidville USA, Nu-Markets or Quick Drop)
When you arrive, you will consign your property to the trading post, which, for a percentage of the sale price will do the following: store, photograph, describe, lists on eBay, provides customer service, collect payment, securly pack and ship to your winning buyer. You then sit back and collect your check.
Who is this service for?
Easily put: Everyone, or those who are either too busy, inexperienced, disinclined to do the work, do not have proper packing supplies or those who have a lot of extra stuff and want extra cash for their minimal effort.
How do you determin the value of your item?
Simple answer: Let the eBay marketplace determin it's value and start your auction at 1$.
What does eBay say about trading posts and trading assistants?
eBay sponsors and encourages a Trading Assistant program numbering in the thousands, who will sell merchandise for a commission on the eBay auction site. Consignors key in their zip codes and categories of their consignments and eBay generates a list of trading assistants in their areas. This ends eBay involvement in the program as the company is careful to note that trading assistants are neither employees, agents or independent contractors of eBay, and negotiations are strictly between the two parties-caveat emptor.
eBay also sponsors drop-off consignment store programs known as Trading Posts. Here, the requirements are stringent: the Trading Post must have a staffed, storefront location with regular drop-off hours, have a feedback score of 500 or higher with at least 98 percent positive feedback, and must average at least $25,000 per month in eBay sales.
