Using Microsoft Excel To Record Your Ebay Sales/Buys

    Microsoft Excel is an excellent tool that you can use to keep track of all of your Ebay sales/buys.  This simple guide will take you step by step on how you can create a professional looking Excel workbook so you can keep track of what you have bought and what you have sold on Ebay.  Please follow the steps below:

How To Create A Selling Worksheet:

  1. Start Microsoft Excel.
  2. Select Cell A1 and type "Item".
  3. Select Cell C1 and type "Date Listed".
  4. Select Cell E1 and type "Listing Fee".
  5. Select Cell G1 and type "Expires".
  6. Select Cell I1 and type "Starting Price".
  7. Select Cell K1 and type "Date Sold".
  8. Select Cell M1 and type "Amount Sold".
  9. Select Cell O1 and type "Buyer's Name".
  10. Select Cell Q1 and type "Buyer's Location".
  11. Select Cell B2 and click on Window then click on Freeze Panes.
  12. Select the range A1:Q1 and then click the Bold button "B".
  13. Keeping the range A1:Q1 selected click on the Fill Color button, its the button that looks like a paint bucket.  You can use the drop down menu to change the background color of the selected cells.
  14. CONGRATULATIONS!!!  Now start selling stuff on Ebay and you can start filling the worksheet that you just created.

How To Create A Buying Worksheet:

  1. Start Microsoft Excel.
  2. Click Cell A1 and type "Item Bought".
  3. Click Cell C1 and type "Price Bought".
  4. Click Cell E1 and type "Seller's Location".
  5. Click Cell G1 and type "Seller's Name".
  6. Click Cell I1 and type "Shipping Costs".
  7. Click Cell B2 and then click on Window and select Freeze Panes.
  8. Select the range A1:I1 and click the Bold button "B".
  9. Keeping the range A1:I1 selected click on the Fill Color button, its the button that looks like a paint bucket.  You can use the drop down menu to change the background color of the selected cells.
  10. CONGRATULATIONS!!!  Now when you buy something off of Ebay you can fill in the worksheet that you just created.
