Use a box when cleaning. It makes cleaning so much easier. Before I tackle a cleaning job I take everything that's on the floor, entertainment center, computer desk, table and whatever eles I have stuff on, and put it in a box(es). No matter what it is, plants, knick knacks, papers, pictures, whatever I just put it all in a box(es). Then I go and dust, wipe, and clean everything. After everything is clean, (read this guide Baby Wipes Work Great for Household Cleaning, for easier cleaning), I start going through the box(es) and put things back. It is so much easier and faster to clean this way than moving things as you go.
When you go through the box(es) think about the items that you have in there. If you run across something you didn't even realize you have or haven't used for 6 months get rid of it. This helps when cleaning closets. Think of the 6 month rule. If you haven't worn it or used it in 6 months (there are a few exceptions), get rid of it. Chances are you won't wear/use it in the future. The average person wears only 20% of the clothing they own.
Try it next time you clean. It is quite a bit easier. I literally have cut my cleaning time in more than half between the baby wipes and using boxes.
Thanks
