I (elizabeth goss hoelker) authored this guide. I am delighted to have you
link to it in your listings, I would prefer you not copy it and call it your
own. Thank you.
Live.com is Microsoft's Search Utility (not unlike google). Live.Com & eBay have partnered to include eligible items listed on eBay in this program. Currently when you use the live.com search utility to navigate to eBay you will receive cashback on eligible purchases. The percentage has been as low as 8% and as high as 35%.
As of this Writing (11:00am CST 5/07/09)
Live Search Cashback is NOT CURRENTLY ACTIVE. I will Keep This Guide Updated

gold $ Icon next to the Text YOU MUST NAVIGATE TO eBAY THROUGH THIS

Need to Establish a Live.Com Account~Just a Few Easy Steps Will Get You on Your Way to Earning Cashback
If you do not already have a live.com account you need to set that up. Then you need to login to your live.com account and set up a cashback account.
Here are the steps.
- Go to the live.com home page. There is a blue bar that runs the length of
the upper portion of the page. Click on the "CASHBACK" link.
- Set up a live.com account (unless you already have one). You can use your
current email address to establish the account. You'll receive an email message
from Microsoft to verify your live.com account. Go through that process.
- Login to your live.com account then establish your "cashback" account.
- Once you have your cashback account established, do a live.com search on
something (maxx new york, for example). The search results display a
list of items available from online stores participating in the cashback program.
- To get to the cashback eligible eBay link, click on the "Web" link below the search
window on the curent results page. One of the fist
things to display on that page will be a link to eBay in the Sponsored Results section of the page near the top..
- Click on the link to ebay
and log in to your ebay account - YOU WILL SEE GOLD IMAGE OF A $ SIGN. Poor quality photo but hopefully you get the idea.
.
- If you know what you want to purchase, go to that listing and purchase the
using BUY IT NOW.
- You need to purchase within 1 hour of logging in to eBay.
- You
will see your cashback amount (which is something you will get from Microsoft
after 60 days) as you are going through the checkout process. IF YOU DON'T see
it, close your current window and try it again. If the problem persists and
you're trying to purchase one of my items, please feel free to contact me.
- NOTE: Only one purchase per eBay login event is eligible. You need to logout
of eBay after making one purchase, and do another live.com search and navigate
back to eBay to purchase another item.
- NOTE: You can have as many Live.com accounts as you have paypal id's. There
is a limit items per user eBay user ID (eBay's information about this program states 12). Many
people have more than one PayPal account (husband/wife,buying/selling) so you
can extend your savings that way. Please remember if YOU DO NOT SEE THE CASHBACK
AMOUNT DURING THE CHECKOUT PROCESS YOU ARE NOT MAKING AN ELIGIBLE PURCHASE. Log
Out and try again..
- There are limits per year and per transaction. As of this writing 11/20/08
there is a cashback limit of $2,500 per year and a per-transaction limit of $200
off. Even with a $200 cap per transaction, you cashback for all BIN purchases up
to $800 will be 25%. So it's worth the hassle.
