If you like to collect cards, you like watching sports highlights, and you can use a computer you should collect Upperdecks Powerdeck cards. The cards have highlights of the featured players, as well as bio's stats, and photo archives. The cards are small CDs. They play in your computer! The next time you and a buddy get into an argument about who was "the better player" you can put his card in, and cement your argument with highlights! I love that aspect!
Now for some things you should know about collecting these cards. The back of the card should be free of any scratches, or marks. They all come with some kind of protective cover. These range from a plastic sleve with a short description of what a powedeck card is, and instructions on how to use the card in your PC, to a hard hinged case with a pull out insert. The case or cover should be included when you buy these cards, or the value is signifigantly decreased. These cards are case or cover condition sensitive as well. To put it another way if the cover or case is not in nrmnt condition, your card can not be considered as nrmnt.
Be sure you know what you are getting Upperdeck Powerdeck also has an Auxilliary set, sometimes listed as AUX set because the AUX prefix is part of the card number on the back. Aux cards do not play in your PC. They are cardboard cards, most are sharp looking cards, and worth having of your favorite player; but they should not be mistaken with the powerdeck cards that play in your PC!
There is not an over abundance of these cards, so get your favorite players now, while they are still readily avaliable. Ebay is a great place to find them, sometimes you can find them in hobby stores, but not very often. Good luck collecting your favorite players, in your favorite sports!
