A couple of questions have been posed to me of late, what has happened to the andesine market?

We are not quite sure but we do know that the market has dropped considerably with this stone. One of the things that we believe may have contributed to this is all of the secrecy behind where the stone is really being mined at.

This is what we know, THERE IS NO CONGO MINE, 80% of sellers claim that the product is coming from the congo, one of my vendors has people on the ground in Africa and I can tell you that the Congo story is just not true!

Where has it been coming from...would you even like to think......Oregon, yes it's Oregon.

The stone seemed to carry much more of a curious nature when no one knew and I believe that the appeal of this beautiful stone was much easier to swallow when we thought that it may be coming from some exotic place far away. That seems to be the appeal for most stones.

Up until recently it was the only place that the stone was found, several (a small handful) of mine spread about in the west to northwest section of the USA were harvesting the stone in pretty good quanity, it's cherry red color caught the eye of many consumers.

Recently there has been some revival of the stone when news came of a second find of andesine in Tibet, we have confirmed this claim and there is further interesting news regarding the marketing plans from the new find.

The 2008 Olympics has seemed to have taken a large interest in the stone and the new find, they have purchased up large quanities of this material and plan to market the stone as "The stone of the 2008 Olympics", there has even been stories spilling about of how they plan to engrave the material with the olympic logo. We expect that there will be some renewed interest in Andesine due to this marketing info mid year 2008, and along with that will come a rise in pricing and value as it will help push up the price on stones that are currently held by investors.
