United States Postal Card Catalog 1995
This is a comprehensive guide to all US postal cards. Its first 56 pages are an advanced level introduction to the production of postal cards. Then each issues has its own serial code from 51 to 5211 with information about quantity printed, first day, techniques, and retail pricing.
The next section is about reply cards coded from MR1 to MR50. Then air post cards SA1 to SA24. Then in quick succession: official cards, specimens, postal buddy cards, and local cards. The appendix has excellent sections on exposition postal cards and their post marks. Then a section of cancellations.
This is an excellent 365 page hard cover book. All cards are shown in black-and-white photographs. Many grids are provided. One of my favorite sections is on the canceling machine overprints of 1920. There were 46 types and all are depicted and explained in this volume. This book is worthy of being added to your philatelic collection.
