eBAY's new feedback system has been in place for nearly a month now, and seems to be working pretty smoothly for the most part.
Under the new system, buyer's can leave more information on different phases of the transaction, rather than just leaving positive, neutral, or negative feedback. Now buyers can also rate the transaction based on four components:
- How accurate was the item description
- How satisfied you were with seller communication
- How quickly did the item ship
- How reasonable were the shipping and handling charges
The best part is - eBAY has made the process very easy to use, and to understand. To get started you select the type of feedback you wish to leave - positive, neutral, or negative. Once you have done that, the familiar line will pop up where you can write your comments on the transaction. Below this space, you will see the above four questions, with a line of stars. All you need to do is click on the stars. There are five to choose from, just pick what you feel is appropriate for your seller. The nice part is, if the transaction was perfect, except for shipping, or shipping costs - you can rate the seller great in the other areas, and not so well in just the area where he fell behind.
The other great part about this system is the simplicity. After a seller has garnerd 20 feedbacks under the new system a chart shows up next to his feedback rating with the four questions, and the stars by them. How much easier is it to see how good the seller is, or where there may be problems.
It's just one more way, to rate sellers, and make the whole buying experience a little safer, and more pleasurable.
