Hope this helps to provide helpful info for new ebayer's or anyone else.

Tracking number's through USPS are not intended for use by buyer's. It's not a real "tracking" number like FedEx or UPS uses, as it will not show you each stage of the delivery and where the item actually is in the delivery sequence. It's just a delivery confirmation purchased by seller's for seller's in order to know when an item has been delivered. It is not for buyer's to "track" their item. You get a message from paypal when the shipping label is created with the "tracking" number and the date the label was created, and it will not update until the item is delivered. At that point it will show the time and date of delivery. Also, first class mail has a normal delivery time of 2-5 business days, and the USPS will not even start to look for a late first class mail item until at least 14 days have passed.

Hope this helps everyone from worrying about, or wasting time and effort on messages or email asking about "tracking" info when your item was shipped through the USPS!! Have a GREAT ebay day!!!!!
