I have a few tips on buying Coach bags here on Ebay- Especially The Signature Pieces!!!
MY MOST IMPORTANT TIP IS
GET TO KNOW YOUR SELLER....
LOOK AT ALL FEEDBACK....COMPLETED LISTINGS FOR BAGS SOLD AND RESOLD (PROBABLY RETURNED OVER AND OVER)...LOW STARTING BIDS WITH AUCTIONS ENDING AT ASTRONOMICAL PRICES....SOFT POSITIVE FEEDBACKS AND NEUTRALS AS WELL
FAKE COACH BAGS ARE EVERYWHERE ON EBAY!!!
IT HAS BEEN PROVEN THAT THE PRODUCTION AND SALES OF BOOTLEGGED BAGS HAS DIRECTLY BENEFITED TERRORIST CELLS IN OUR COUNTRY AS WELL AS ASIAN ORGANIZED CRIME!!!
Coach Signature pieces, that is, the bags with the "CC"'s all over it are done beautifully on real Coach bags- They are the easiest fakes to spot!!! The CC's on Authetic Coach items are completely symetrical across the front of the bag AND SHOULD NEVER BE DRIFTING ON AN ANGLE. For example, if there are two full CC's on the left side of the bag, as they go across there should be two full CC's on the right side- fake bags in the signature fabric often have the CC's not completely straight across- very obvious- they look like they are on an angle. Look closely at how ugly the CC's are on the BOOTLEG bags below- crooked, totally not lined up at the front seam- just ugly!! LOVE THOSE PLASTIC COVERED HANDLES!!!
-
-
Also- the lining is a tell tale sign of a fake- irridescent tiny CC's inside a bag are not Coach- also, signature Coach bags never have signature lining- that is if there are CC's all over the outside, the inside lining will be SOLID. The signature lining on Coach bags is typically done in a satin like material- big CC's in a khaki and gold coloring. Older signature lining consists of the name Coach in a small rectangular box all over the inside- but I have even seen these bootlegged - the fake ones have the Coach name a bit bigger than the real. CHECK OUT THE TACKY IRRIDESCENT LINING BELOW ... COACH DOES NOT MAKE THIS LINING AND AGAIN SIGNATURE BAGS DO NOT DO NOT SO NOT HAVE SIGNATURE LINING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE SELLER CLAIMS HER BOUTIQUE FRIEND IS SELLING HER THESE BAGS SO PLEASE PLEASE LET HER KNOW IF YOU ARE UNHAPPY- WELL, OFCOURSE SHE SAYS THAT, BECAUSE HER BAGS SOLD FOR OVER A HUNDRED LAST WEEK AND SHE PROBABLY PAID NO MORE THAN $20 A PIECE-THEY ARE GARBAGE.
-
-
ALSO-THESE SHAMEFUL SELLERS CLAIM THEY ARE SELLING DISCONTINUED STYLES BECAUSE THEY KNOW THEY ARE ODD LOOKING BAGS AND FEEL THEY MAY NOT BE QUESTIONED AS MUCH-WHEN YOU GET A COACH BAG FEEL THE "LEATHER"-THE PLASTIC KNOCKOFFS ARE EASY TO SPOT WHEN YOU TOUCH THEM!!!
-
The Creed should be PERFECT-THE SEWN LINES AROUND THE OUTSIDE ABSOLUTELY UNIFORM, NOT DRIFTING AT ALL-THE NUMBERS SHOULD ALL BE THE SAME SIZE-NO SPACING-CREEDS OF THE BOOTLEGGED BAGS ARE OFTEN PATHETIC WHEN YOU SEE THEM IN PERSON-PLASTIC STAMPED SQUARES!!!
-
Coach bags DO NOT have rectangular white or creme colored LARGE paper tags hanging from them with COACH on them, (nor are their price tags written in Chinese) and their Dustbags are always Dark Brown with Red Tie, and for the smaller items like wallets, keychains, etc. White bags with red COACH stamped on them. Not light brown!
-
Another thing- You will often see a closeup picture of a Coach Creed (the large leather, not shiny vinyl!!) with an "X" or Bullseye Circle stamp in the upper corner- This IS NOT PUT THERE TO PROVE IT IS REAL, AS SOME PEOPLE BELIEVE!! What this means is that it was bought at a secondary market like a Coach outlet, or TJ MAXX, or Marshalls, instead of a Coach store, or High End Department store (Macys, Neiman Marcus, etc). Below look at the upper right corner of the creed- the bullseye!
CREEDS SHOULD BE PERFECT-ALL NUMBERS THE SAME SIZE, THE STITCHING AROUND THE EDGES PERFECTLY EVEN AND UNIFORM-ON THE BOOTLEGGED BAGS THE CREEDS ARE SOMETIMES LAUGHABLE!! CHECK OUT THE ONE BELOW- THE STITCHING GOES RIGHT THROUGH THE FAKE SERIAL NUMBERS----UNBELIEVABLE!!!
-
Also- Beware of sellers selling Coach bags that are "seconds" - Coach does not allow seconds to be sold- they are destroyed. If a bag is at a very low price because it is claimed to be a "second" Move On! The items sold at Coach Outlets are not lower rate bags or seconds, they are overstocks, discontinued pieces and collections, etc.
-
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A COACH "SECOND" ....CALL COACH! SOME SELLERS SELL BAGS AND STRESS
"NOT AN OUTLET BAG"
suggesting Outlet bags are "seconds"...this is simply ignorance...Coach comes out with new collections every 4 months...those bags that do not sell in the full retail Coach stores are sent out weekly to nearby outlets at a discount...the retail Coach store is considered the outlet's "Sister Store"...Coach DOES NOT SELL SECONDS...OR IRREGULARS...THEY DO NOT EXIST....THEY ARE DESTROYED!!! Before sending them to the outlet, the Sister Store bullets the creeds, and often removes the dustbag (which I never quite understood why!!)
-
ALSO- REAL COACH BAGS DO NOT....I MEAN DOOO NOOOOOT HAVE PLASTIC ON THE HANDLES!!! EVER!!! AND THEY DO NOT HAVE LARGE RECTANGULAR PAPER TAGS WITH COACH ON THEM !!!!!
I am amazed and saddened at the bags been sold as Genuine Coach bags when I can clearly see they are bad fakes!! The signature pieces are so often fake!! Buy from a reputable seller with good feedback FOR SELLING COACH BAGS- MANY START OFF SELLING FAKES AND BOMBARD EBAY UNTIL BUYERS ARE BRAVE ENOUGH TO GIVE THEM NEGATIVES!!! Look at ALL the bags they are selling and have sold and what people have to say- I only sell authentic Coach in my auctions with 100% feedback. I live near several High End Department stores, a major Coach outlet and a few of the "secondary stores" like TJ Maxx and Marshalls, so I know and LOVE Coach. Good Luck!!
PLEASE NOTE ANY LISTINGS TO THE RIGHT OF THIS GUIDE THAT ARE NOT MY OWN CANNOT BE GUARANTEED AUTHENTIC- EBAY PUTS RANDOM LISTINGS THERE THAT RELATE TO MY KEYWORDS, BUT UNLESS THEY ARE MY LISTINGS ALONE, THEY MAY NOT BE AUTHENTIC COACH PIECES!!!
IF YOU HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT A BAG I AM HAPPY TO LEND A HELPING HAND AND TAKE A LOOK-JUST GO TO ONE OF MY LISTINGS AND ASK ME A QUESTION!!! I AM GLAD TO HELP!
THANKYOU GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS!!!!
