U2 Tickets and Concert Review - Oakland

For the second in the past seven months I was lucky enough to see U2’s Vertigo tour (this time at the Oakland Arena) in support of their "How To Dismantle an Atomic Bomb" release.

As always, I was unable to get any decent tickets at Ticketmaster, so I went to eBay Tickets to get my U2 tickets where I can always find great seats at great prices.  This time was sitting about 10 rows up in seats about where the half-court line would be for a game between the Warriors and Lakers.

They appear to have several remaining shows in the US remaining on their tour, so maybe you can enjoy them where you live and get some seats on eBay.  Here was the set-list for the show I saw.

While I may not agree with them, I have included a few concert reviews from the current tour.

Following a moderately entertaining opening set by reggae-star Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley, who also performs Monday at the Independent in San Francisco, U2 launched its two-hour-plus concert in a very dramatic fashion.  The house stereo system pumped out a tune by Arcade Fire, the Montreal-based buzz band that will take over as opening act for U2 later this month, and then three-fourths of the legendary Irish band took the stage and began to play "City of Blinding Lights," one of the best tracks from last year's "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb."

After nearly six months, U2's "Vertigo" tour returned triumphantly to Los Angeles last week.  At the start of the concert, it was all about teasing drummer Larry Mullen on his birthday, and from that point on, U2 became the Larry Mullen Band.  This was definitely one special show.
