U. S. HALF CENTS! These coins are definitely not just your Grandfather's or even your Great-Grandfather's coin collection. These are some of the most overlooked coins in all of numismatics. Not just because the youngest Half Cent is more than 150 years old, or that many of these coins have populations of fewer than 150 total survivors, these coins are still available to collectors and should be taken seriously. U.S. Half Cent coins represent a well balanced investment opportunity to both collectors and investors. In case you don't know it, they are rare coins, . . . rare coins that are available to those who want them NOW. This is just one more series of U.S. coins that fall into that category of collectibles where there are currently more collectors dying of old age, than new collectors beginning to collect Half Cents. Most collectors just blow them off as old obsolete coins that aren't worth the effort! WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! If you are a collector who is serious about investing in your collection, or just an investor interested in nothing but return on your investment, this is your opportunity to make some money. If you are an investor in real estate, gold or precious metals, art, stocks, bonds, or foreign currencies, you know that all of these investments can make money. The problem is that when you liquidate your investment, Uncle Sam is waiting right there with his hand out! You simply can't sell any of these instruments for cash! Rare coins can not only be sold for cash, but most dealers would prefer to work with cash. There's an old saying that says, "CASH MAKES NO ENEMIES!" This aside, no matter how you buy or sell, the potential profit in Half Cents is tremendous. Just like all numismatics, these coins will again come to life, and when they do, their prices will soar to new highs.
Listed below is a summary of most Half Cents. There are many other die varieties that I will omit and should be, more or less, included in the general population numbers listed for that date. Even these "so-called" common varieties are rare coins.

There are cull and mutilated coins out there that I don't consider worth mentioning. Despite being still available, most varieties should be considered scarce due to the low numbers of collectors. Recently, due to death or liquidation of holdings by some long time collectors, many rare dates have become available. All of these rare dates are ripe for investment. Investors with suitable amounts of cash are faced with unprecedented opportunities for potential profits in what could be a short term investment (2-5 years). For collectors with limited funds, you too can still participate in this market. Many high grade coins are still being offered at ridiculously low prices. Get them while you can.
