Hi friends, It seems that at least every month there is another reason to buy a greeting card. Generally, it's a birthday or someone is not feeling well and you would like them to know you are thinking of them. More often than not we need these cards when we are pressed for time or cash. :) My suggestion to you is, do what I've been doing for years, recycle your old greeting cards. Whenever you receive a card instead of throwing it away, carefully tear or cut off the front panel. Turn it over and with a marker draw a line vertically down the center. One side of the line is for address and the other for your personal message. You can always embellish the card with personalized stamps, drawings etc. This ia a great way to recycle your birthday and holiday cards. You are not only helping the environment and saving money on postage. You are sending a different card to everyone on your list with a personal message meant just for them. I keep a photo box which is divided into categories, such as birthday, get well, thinking of you, and Christmas. When I'm in need of a card in a hurry I don't have to go any futher than my office desk. The next time you receive a card simply remove the front and use a straight edge to draw a line down the back. Place it in your "card box" and you'll never be caught without a greeting card again. And if you are really are serious about saving a tree, use the other half of the card for your grocery list.
