The Tupperware Quick Shake Container is one of my favorite items in my kitchen and one of the most utilized. This versatile little container has changed the way I blend and whisk in my kitchen.

The container itself is tapered and comes in Classic Sheer so it's easy to see through. Measurements provided on the container. These measurements are in both the standard and metric systems. Gradients are provided in increments of 50 ml, 1 ounce and 1/4 cup. The container is also textured except for the two strips where the measurements are printed. This makes it easy to hold onto if you have wet of slippery hands.

The Tupperware Quick Shake has a domed lid with a pour spout that fits tightly atop a 2 cup capacity container. This lid fits extremely tightly so you need to be very careful when you affix the lid to the container. Otherwise, when you start to shake it, you may end up with the lid (and the contents of the container) flying across your kitchen.

I originally thought the idea of a blender insert was ridiculous. I saw no need for it and figured that just shaking the ingredients would do the job. It does, but the blender insert makes it easier and I don't have to shake as long or as hard. The insert is a little wheel with five spokes and a hub at the center. You can spin it like a top and it looks like one of those trendy Beyblade toys that young boys love. The blender insert wheel fits just atop the container, underneath the lid.

The lid and blender insert have been manufactured in different colors including Lacquer Blue, Black and Hunter Green. The measurements on the container itself are printed in the same color as the matching lid.

My favorite use for the Tupperware Quick Shake is for getting eggs ready to scramble. Instead of cracking my eggs into a bowl and beating them with a fork or whisk, then trying to pour them into the pan and having egg run down the side of the bowl and a really nasty whisk to clean, the Tupperware Quick Shake has made egg preparation a breeze.

Now, I simply crack the eggs into the Tupperware Quick Shake and add some milk or water along with a pinch of salt and some pepper. Then, I shake away for a few seconds. Voila! The eggs are ready to pour through the pour spout and I have one item to clean instead of a bowl, a whisk and the countertop. All I have to do now is put some hot water and dishwashing liquid through the pour spout, close the spout and shake again. The Tupperware Quick Shake is mostly cleaned and ready for the dishwasher. Back when I was cooking eggs three times a day when my dog was doing food tests for allergies for six months, this was an absolute godsend.

Another thing I like to make in the Tupperware Quick Shake is salad dressing. It's a breeze to measure the liquid ingredients, adding one after another using the gradients on the side of the container instead of having to measure each ingredient separately. Again, simply shake and pour.

Friends of mine use the Tupperware Quick Shake for powdered protein drinks or instant soup mixes. Just about anything you'd use a blender for that doesn't require the chopping of the blade can probably be mixed in the Tupperware Quick Shake.

A final possible use that I'll bring up is to make a homemade salad shaker for a lot less than you'd pay at McDonalds (if they even still have these on the menu). Fill up the Quick Shake with salad fixings. Take along a Midget filled with dressing. You can pour the dressing on when you're ready to eat the salad so the greens don't get soggy. Shake away and the dressing is distributed across all of the greens. I'd leave out the blender insert. This wouldn't make a particularly large salad but it's nice for something small to have on the side.

All of the pieces of the Tupperware Quick Shake container are dishwasher safe. While I wash most of my Tupperware by hand, this piece has been through the dishwasher on the top rack multiple times. While it shows some wear, it has years of life left in it. Honestly, I think the superficial scratches on the lid are from hand washing!

It is covered by Tupperware full lifetime warranty against chipping, cracking, breaking and peeling. What this means is that if any of the above occurs within reason, you get a replacement at no cost if you are placing an order (or your consultant is able to add it on someone else's order). Otherwise, there is a small shipping and handling fee.

Be aware that you may not be able to get an older colored piece as warranty replacements since they were a limited issue; you'll have to make do with whatever color choice is available at the time.
