How to Tune a Mars TRC Series Coin Changer
Although the MARS ELECTRONICS TRC Series Coin Changers are factory preset to
maximize valid coin acceptance, the unit may require periodic tuning--particularly to
correct the frequency differences that can result when the Acceptor/Gate Assembly and/or
the Control Board/Backplate Assembly are replaced. Because of a special TRC Series Changer
feature, only coins are required for tuning purposes. Normally, the TRC Series Models are
factory tuned for the U.S. coin set only. When tuned for the U.S./Canadian set, the
changer will have a "6XXX-C" label.
Preparing for Tuning
Before performing either of the tuning procedures, follow these steps:
1. Power off the Coin Mech.
2. Hinge down the Acceptor/Gate Assembly.
3. Set a price on the price switch.

6. Hit Tune Mode
7. Push Start then 110 Volt or 24 Volt
8. Instate power to the changer, then remove the
