As a member of the ebay community for 9+ years, I have always felt that the Trust & Safety (Safeharbor) Department was THEE strongest department of the site. Recently, I have noticed strong faults within the department to warrant a closer look. I strongly believe that if the department really wants to gain back the respect from its members, it should listen to its members rather than having their deep pockets dictate FOR them.
I have decided to create a Guide, which blankets every sort of auction on the site. In so doing, I thought I would air the laundry of other members who are ecstatic about the lack of support from this so-called "strongest department" known as the Trust & Safety (Safeharbor).

TOPIC: Who in eBay determines desicion making? Headquarters in Roswell?
After ten years of selling on eBay, I have come to one major conclusion - eBay's corporate decisions are made by aliens. No one on "this" earth could possibly devise the present new rates, rules and regulations that affect sellers. There is absolutely no argument that makes any rational sense for their latest decisions. After reading recent and different discussion boards about this subject, I believe the truly rational eBay members are now seeking other forums to sell their merch. I applaud them as eBay is now clearly entering a corporate desicion level at which the most rational cannot make a bit of sense. It borders comedy and members should remind eBay theirs was a great place to practice proper business in the past. I never thought the amount of charlatans posing as buyers in the last few years would be allowed to practice their trade and get away with it.

I'm sure this Guide will be amended from day to day to allow for other such catastrophes. If it is a Trust & Safety auction related concern, you just may find it ending up here.
On closing, I personally believe that if any member has an issue or problem, they should turn to the T&S Board for member-to-member assistance, rather than the department itself.
Kind regards,

TOPIC: 90% of the problem with EBAY is TRUST and Safety
In yet another stupid move by Ebay's Trust and Safety Department they are taking down all Wii listings that contain a game count in the auction title because a few buyers are complaining that they were expecting 5 seperate disc rather then one disc with 5 games on it.
Does Ebay put out a new policy notice on this to sellers? NO, that would be to much like right.
Does Ebay take down one listings and tell you why they did so you can change your other auction listings? NO, that would also be to much like right.
Does Ebay respond to your emails ask why the auction was taken down? NO, because that would also be to much like right.
So what does Ebay do? They take all your Wii auction listings down and give you a three day sellers suspension.
After over 1 hour on hold and having to hear how great Ebay is on the brain washing tape I get a warm body. He informs me that it is a new policy that they are just starting to enforce and have not put it out yet. I talk to him for a while and try to get the restriction lifted since it was an unpublished policy and he said no. I then ask him what I supposed to do for the next three days. His reply, wait for it because it is a real winner, HE SUGGESTED I GO THROUGH ALL THE WII LISTINGS DURING MY FORCED SELLING VACATION AND REPORT EVERY SINGLE LISTING THAT HAS THE SAME VIOLATION I GOT SUSPENDED FOR. THAT WAY WHEN I CAN SELL AGAIN I WOULD HAVE CREATED A LEVEL PLAYING FIELD.
WHAT KIND OF JUNK IS THAT?
