The major purpose of this guide is to share with the reader some basic information regarding significant changes that are happening in our environment. These changes will ultimately create tremendous stressors in the lives of all earth's inhabitants. No one will be immune to these growing stressors!

 Such changes will adversely impact all of us and I believe that we are already at the crossroads and that it is too late to reverse these alarming trends. You can bet that things will become worse each day inspite of every attempt by our government to find solutions.  The fact is that our government is totally inept!

 Increasing populations and decreasing natural resources have resulted in growing stressors in our physical environment and have adversely changed the quality of our air, water and soil.  In addition, the biotic components of the earth have become negatively impacted as well.  Species of all forms, plant and animal, are experiencing the negative impact to such degree that the destruction of untold numbers of species is inevitable.

 When both plant and animal species are endangered, critical cycles in nature are also upset and, as a result,  the overall quality of life for all life is truly endangered. We have crossed the threshold and there are no viable solutions!  Sorry folks, FEMA cannot deal with coming events!

Specific indicators of a stressful world are reflected in not only environmental pollution but in "social pollution" as well. The overall quality of life is lowered for all of us and the end result is frightening. A dangerous situation is quickly unfolding before our very eyes!

 Increasing dangers of global conflict, crime, substance use and abuse, famines, diseases and a multitude of other social and health problems are all part of our present and our future. Never before in history has man had the capacity to wipe out our very existence on this planet!

  Along with tremendous environmental problems will come increasing tendencies toward global war. Already, the distant sounds of war drums can be heard in the content of the news each day. Such wars will spread until the entire world is directly or indirectly involved. 

  The conflagration in Iraq and other middle east countries, due in part to our need for energy, are moving us closer to such a reality. Growing divisions between religious groups and indeed racial groups are bringing us closer to the brink. The world has become even more dangerous and the pace of threats is increasing in speed.

 The world's powers are all watching and planning for a future time to act! The east, west, north and south are preparing for that time. A tremendous military conflict unlike any the world has ever seen is brewing.

Just what are their plans and who is pulling the strings?

The ongoing concern about Iran and North Korea having nuclear weapons is setting a stage for disaster. 

Russia and China, two major superpowers, are already preparing for a showdown with the west. Will there be such a showdown?  YES!

 The middle east is the focus and the prize because of its oil reserves! The greed-machine of the planet is well greased and working effectively.

We can do little to change the direction we are heading as a world but we can do alot in changing direction of our individual lives.

  The first and major step for anyone is to realize the trends and know how to navigate the waters of these troublesome times! 

 We must not be lulled to sleep by the misinformation we receive from the media. In fact, much of the media is nothing more than a blind contributor to the problems we now have and our government is totally inept! 

 The fact is that we are in great danger and must personally begin to plan accordingly.

 We need to have "eyes to see" and "ears to hear" and not be led astray by ignorance and the proponents of such ignorance.
