Ebay Buyers Should be more conserned with Auction Descriptions and Shipping. I Have Had Some Trouble With A Few English Ebay Sellers. I also do not Appreciate Some Triumph Parts Sellers Turning me INTO Ebay for Some Errors in My Listing. I have Listed My Web Site For Years ON All Of My AUCTIONS and Now Frequently Some Jealous Seller Seems To Be Monitoring My Ad's. I cannot Believe This Is Happening To Me. FIRST NO ONE TELLS U THAT THE STOCK PEDALSTALS NEED SOME MODIFICATIONS.
SECOND THESE 3 EBAY SELLERS, JSIAM MARTINGF AND TSIMPORTED ###ONLY JUST RECENTLY HAVE JOINED EBAY. ###REASON### THEY CANNOT SELL ANY OF THERE STUFF ANYLONGER LIKE THEY USE TOO.
I DID PURCHASE A SET OF THESE FOR THE RACECAR TO REALLY SEE IF THERE WAS ANY GAIN IN POWER YEARS AGO FROM TSIMPORTED PARTS. COST WAS 360.00. I WOULD LIKE TO ADD, IF YOU HAVE COIL BIND WITH YOUR VALVE SPRING HEIGHT, ###Y0U WILL BREAK ONE LIKE I DID### MY PROBLEM WAS THAT ONE OF MY EXHAUST VALVES DID NOT HAVE THE CORRECT CUT IN THE VALVE TOP WHERE THE KEEPER LOCKES THE VALVE. NO PROBLEM IT CONTINUES TO BE A LEARNING PROCESS WITH RACING.
PERSONALLY I THINK THEY ARE WAY OVERPRICED, RULE OF PARTS------------SELLER ALWAYS GETS AT LEAST 100 PERCENT PROFIT. SO LITERALLY SPEAKING, ##THESE DISTRIBUTORS, I ONLY KNOW OF THE 3, ARE MAKING BETWEEN 100 TO 200 BUCKS PROFIT A SET.
SELLING PRICE IS DETERMINED BY HARLAND SHARP, SOMETIME AGO THE GUY IN CALIFORNIA TOLD ME THAT THEY HAD ALL SIGNED SOME FORM OF SELLING THESE THE LOWEST AT 360. NOW I SEE THEY HAVE GONE UP TO 389.00.

THEY DO NOT MAKE 8 TO 10 EXTRA HORSE POWER, THEY DO MAKE THE ENGINE FUCTION MORE EFFICIENT ON THE TOP END AND IT SOUNDS QUIETER ESPECIALLY WITH A VERY HIGH LIFT CAMSHAFT LIKE THE ONE I USE. I STARTED IN THE 70'S WITH BUYING AND LEARNING ABOUT ALLOY WHEELS FOR THE TRIUMPH CARS. BACK THEN YOU COULD HAVE OBTAINED CARROL SHELLBY'S, ENKEI'S, 3 PIECE GOTTI WHEELS, PANA SPORTS, D-SLOTS, AND PROBABLY AMERICAN RACING WHEELS.
I HAVE SEEN MANY WHEELS LISTED ON EBAY SINCE I RECENTLY STARTING SELLING THE NEW KONIG ALLOY WHEEL MADE IN TAIWAN. I PERSONALLY HAVE HAD OLD STYLE PANA SPORTS, CARROL SHELLBY'S. ENKEI'S AND KONIG'S.
THE CORECT BACKSPACING FOR THE TR6 CAR IS 3 3/4 INCHES. THE ONLY WHEEL THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN AND USED IS THE CARROL SHELLBY WHEEL 15 X 7. BACK THEN IN THE 70'S YOU COULD HAVE GOT 15 X 8 ALSO.
NOW THE PANA SPORT, KONIG AND PROBABLY OTHER WHEELS TODAY ARE ALL 4 INCH BACKSPACING. THIS IS NOT A PROBLEM, I HAVE NOTICED JUST A LITTLE RUBBING ON THE UPPER A-ARM ON THE TIPS OF THE ARM. A LITTLE FILING WILL SOVLE THAT. YOU CAN ALWAY USE THE 1/4 SPACERS TO GET THE WHEEL BACK TO THE PROPER PLACEMENT.
TRIUMPH OWNERS THAT GO AHEAD AND BUY THOSE 16 X 7 PANA SPORTS WHEELS ARE TAKING A VERY HIGH RISK IN THE REAR WITH AXLE FAILURE. I MYSELF NEVER BROKE AN AXLE ON THE STREET WITH MY OLD STREET RACER. BUT I WILL TELL U ON THE TRACK OR ANY HIGH SPEED EVENT, THEY WE BREAK AND MAKE A REAL MESS OF YOUR REAR OF THE CAR. I HAVE BROKE TWO AXLES ON TRACKS, BOTH ON THE DRIVER SIDE GOING INTO RIGHT HAND TURNS SWEEPING. LIME ROCK PART, AND SKELLY FIELD. THIS MADE ME PURCHASE THE BEST TRIUMPH RACING AXLES IN THE WORLD FROM CAMBRIDGEMOTORSPORTS IN ENGLAND.
THOSE TRIUMPH OWNERS SPORTING 16 X 7 INCH WHEEL DON'T KNOW OR DON'T CARE. ONCE THEY GO AHEAD AND INSTALL SOME WIDE LOW PROFILE TIRES, THERE IS AN EXTREME AMOUNT OF STRESS PUT ON THE REAR STUB AXLE, (((OH YEAH, I FORGOT TO TELL U ALL(( THAT THE PROBLEM IS THAT WHEN THEY CUT THE KEY SLOT IN THE STUB AXLE THOSE LIMEY'S ACTUALLY CRACK THE ENTIRE AXLE)) BACK IN THE 80'S I USE TO HAVE ALL MY AXLES X-RAYED.

TRIUMPH TR4 CARS THRU TR6 CARS SHIFTING ENGAGEMENT.
I HAVE BEEN WORKING ONLY WITH THE TR6 CARS SINCE 1974. I HAVE WORKED ON THE ONLY WAY TO CORRECT THE CLUTCH FORK PIN FROM SHEARING OFF INSIDE THE CLUTCH FORK ROD. IN 1989 I MOVED FROM CT. TO GEORGIA AND SINCE I GOT MY SOUTH BEND LATHE I HAVE BEEN MACHINING THE GRADE/8 FORK PIN OUT OF A G/8 GOLD CADIUM BOLT. NOT AN EASY TASK, ESPECIALLY DRILLING A HOLE THRU THE HEAD FOR THE WIRE TIE OFF. I HAVE COLLECTED MORE THAN 100 BROKEN FORK PINS, I EVEN HAVE WITNESSED THE STRONGER PIN FAILURE. BELEIVE ME BEFORE YOU TEAR UP THE EXPENSIVE FORK THAT IS NOW MADE IN TAIWAN, GET UNDER YOU CAR AN
D CHECK AND SEE IF YOUR PIN IS BROKEN. EVENUALLY IT WILL BREAK YOU CLUTCH FORK ALSO. I REWELD THE BROKEN FORKS WHEN IT IS WORTH DOING. THANKS AND GOOD LUCK
