A great way to dress up an old belt or link belt of any kind is to weave ribbon through the links. Following are two ways to dress up a belt. You can weave the ribbon through the length of the belt and finish it with a small bow at each end.
Or you can knot lengths of ribbon through each link so when the belt is worn the ribbon hangs down. The example in this photo has short lengths of ribbon so you can get an idea of how to knot the ribbon. However, for a graceful "swing" when you walk or dance the ribbon should be 12 inches or longer. The heavier satin ribbon has a nice weight that also flows when you move
These belts can be worn with jeans, a dress, skirt or even a bathing suit!
