Trading Cars - Spider Man & Mars Attacks Trading Cards
Trading Cards are extremely popular among fans of comic book superheroes and animated movie characters. Trading cards are often introduced to promote new movies and to commemorate anniversaries. If you collect trading cards, timing is an important consideration. Buying a card before it becomes a collectible may be an investment that pays off nicely in just a few years.
Spiderman is one of the most popular comic book characters of all time. He first appeared in the 15th issue of the comic book, "Amazing Fantasy." The comic book sold for 12 cents, and today an original copy is worth thousands of dollars. In the 40 years Spiderman has been around, several different editions of Spider Man Cards have been introduced.
Some of the most sought-after trading cards feature Spiderman facing off against his worst enemies including the Green Goblin, Hobgoblin, Venom, Dr. Octopus, and Kraven. When Spider-Man 2, the movie, was playing in theaters, a set of trading cards was introduced. A complete collection features 70 cards and may include as many as four "Amazing Lenticular Motion Cards."
Mars Attacks Cards had a cult following when they were first introduced in 1962 from Topps. These cards were only made available for a limited time, which makes them very appealing to collectors. The cards saw a surge in popularity thanks to the Tim Burton remake of the movie in 1996. These cards can be highly valuable, and a complete set of 55 cards is extremely hard to find.
