This guide talks about the 3 methods you can use to track Ebay blogs. All 3 methods are good, but like anything else have their good and bad points.
Method 1
Write down the Ebay ID of the person's blog you wish to track by:
1. writing it down on a piece of paper or
2. creating a document in your word processor and storing it there or
3. make a draft post on your blog and store it there.
Method 2
Use your web browsers favorite or bookmark option to track it.
Method 3
Use RSS feeds to track them. This is more complicated but most people can manage their way through it. Once established, it is a simple process to use.
First off, go to Ebay's Help section and view the info under RSS.
The next step is to search the web for a RSS reader. I use AmphetaDesk 0.93.1 simply because it was first on the serach and was memtioned in the Help article. Decide on a reader and download it. Mine came with many feeds preloaded. I deleted them all, but you may want to keep some or all of them.
To add a feed ( channel ) to the reader you simply enter the URL for that feed and the reader does the rest. The URL is what shows up in the address block of your browser when you visit a site. If you have an Ebay blog, you can find the URL to your blog by going to your blog, look at the left side for the block "Owner Tools". Go down and click on settings. Go down near the bottom of settings page to an entry called "This blog's RSS feed" the URL will be just after that. Copy and paste the URL to a draft post of your blog or a doc in your word processor ( see method 1 ). Look at the URL and you will see your Ebay ID at the end. The URL for all Ebay blogs is the same except for the ID.
The hard part is done now so you can relax.
To add a feed to the reader simply go to Add a Channel and enter the URL in the block and enter. Be sure to change the ID to the ID of the person whose blog you want to track. Repeat this process to add as many blogs as you like.
Go to My Channels and select the blog you wish to view.
