Hi, I'm writing this to share with you all my technique if you will, to buying toys. First off, decide what are you're plans with these toys. Are they for display? For play? Or for pay? Next, get what YOU like. I 've seen many people buying up action figures because they think that is what's "hot" right now, or they want to cash in on other peoples interest and jack up prices. The fun thing about collecting these days as opposed to when I was a young boy, is their are many different lines for all of our favorite heroes...i.e., Star Wars, Marvel and Batman, to name a few. My main criteria is what do I think is cool, and the functionality of the toy. Poseability, sturdiness, all around enjoyment of the figure. After all this why I started this hobby many years ago. It's not just for profit or to collect dust in a case. They are to be enjoyed and posed and for the memories they evoke (in the case of the vintage ones). When you're researching on EBAY or any other place, ask lots of questions,be specific. We all have different criteria, and we all know what we like. Any good seller will be more than happy to discuss make, line, year and any other details you are looking for. Lastly, stay within a set price range. Unless it is extremely rare or vintage you'll eventually find what you are looking for at a decent price. I hope this helps for now, and keep having fun collecting! P.S., I forgot to mention the relaxing, stay young attitude toy collecting makes me feel. My Doctor says keep it up.
Good Luck!!
