Pros:
- Pricing: The retail price range is $700-$400 USD. Great deal for your money.
- Sound: The sound quality from the speakers and through headphones sound great and sound crystal clear even at 100% volume.
- Looks/Case/Ports Design: The design of the case and placement of USB and other ports/plugs were great.
- Speed: The speed of the laptop is great for being only a 1.73GHz processor.
OKs:
- Battery Life: Battery life is lasted about 1-3 hours depending on the performance setting and the usage of the laptop.
Cons:
- Hard Drive: 80GB isn't enough space for Windows Vista on it and wished it came with a 120GB hard drive or more.
- RAM: It comes with 512MB of RAM. I highly recommend to max it out or atleast add a 1GB RAM to it.
- Software Trials: Microsoft Office 2007 comes with the laptop, but as a trial. It works great and fast.
- Software Bundled: There was alot of software bundled with the laptop, but found it to be less than what others had.
- Hardware/Software Issues: I tried to use the built-in SD Card Reader, but Vista would not detect the card. A particular software that hovers in top portion of the desktop would drain the performance of the laptop and would crash every so often.
- OS (Operating System): It has issues and takes up more resources than Windows XP.
Final Thoughts:
It is a great laptop to have, but just be prepared to have some slight issues with Windows Vista. It is a great deal for your money if you do not want and kind of special bells and whistles requiring more out of it.
