Interested in keeping your teeth, with minimum effort? I am a Dental Hygienist with thirty years experience and I will explain. Most people brush, some floss. We just need to brush and floss a little more often to effectively clean our teeth. Cleaning more often, removes the plaque before it hardens on your teeth. If the plaque hardens on your teeth; the hygienist must scrape it off. OH NO! So, I'm just asking you to try this. Brush, three time a day, morning, noon and night and floss at least one time especially at night! Look at the store for some of those floss holders. You can do this and see if it makes a big difference at your next dental visit.
I also like to ask everyone to brush the inside of the teeth first. Then by the time you get to the outside of the teeth, the toothbrush bristles are softer, this helps prevent excessive wear on the outside of the teeth. Also brush the insde of the lower teeth first and last because have you noticed the inside lower teeth build up the plaque first?
I hope this helps motivate you to brush more often. Let us keep our teeth by keeping them clean. There is nothing like the real thing!
