Yes friends, it's true. Many people see Puerto Rico and think it is international shipping. Wrong!! PR is a US territory and as such, all USPS rates applies here as well as with any other state. PR is considered domestic shipping by USPS regardless the distance. There are three size of boxes in Standard Flat Rate service. Go to the USPS web site and find "Flat Rate envelopes and boxes" under "Postage and options" menu to see the boxes. Many of the parts sold in Ebay can be sent in one of three size boxes available free at your postal office. If it fits inside those boxes, it can be sent via Standard Flat Rate for only $9.85 online or $10.35 at the post office, regardless the weight and the best of all, to any US state or territory. This includes the lower 48 states, Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands. If it does not fit in one of those two boxes, you can use the zip to zip calculator of USPS at their website and you will see there is no significant difference compared to other US states and you always can ship via Priority. Never use Parcel Post service to Puerto Rico. The difference in price compared with the Priority service is only cents, but the difference in transit time is a lot. USPS claims Parcel Post service takes 2-9 days but that is never true. It will take 3-4 weeks, this will cause buyer to file claims against you thinking package will never arrive. Also, UPS or FEDEX service are available to PR but these are private companies and their rates are very high to PR. So, please, add PR to your listing, so we can be in your client list. Thank you!!
