I have enjoyed beyond words the awesome sellers and hard to find merchandise on Ebay for more than a couple years.  I have also enjoyed Christmas, Birthday, Father's Day, Mother's Day, Anniversary shopping too!  Thank you all you wonderful sellers...and especially to Ebay and PayPal for making this one of the Best places to shop!

Lately...I have encountered confusion over what are the proper procedures for filing a claim, via the Post Office for damaged merchandise.  Seems there are three (3) opinions as to what one is supposed to do.

To all Buyers/Sellers...be sure that you understand the How To of the Claim process...believe me from personal experience, it will Save alot of headache, misunderstanding, delay and frustration over what should have been a pleasant experience.  I have had over the past 9 months 3 such incidents, 2 of which were antique beautiful glass lamp globes rendered useless by the Post Office (1 of those was packed in a very flimsey box, there is no way it should have been shipped, the item was totally shattered into a gazillion pieces, sadly I did not insure), the other, insured, plainly crushed by the Post Office even though Fragile marked all over on it...and the other item insured, and well, that is up for debate as to whether it was truly functional to begin with or damaged in shipping.

The point is...be informed and Know what is to be done...then follow through.  Just because you pay the insurance fee...doesn't mean it will be "taken care of".  Last resort...hopefully the item is protected through PayPal...if so...then use that service, PayPal has been upfront and very very good at what they do.  Sorta like your Ace up your sleeve.

Happy Ebaying to you All!
