I purchased a Titan Tankless Water Heater (4-14-06) and it just went out today 1-12-09.I purchased it and it was sent fast ,I opened it up and even though it says "Made in the USA" it looks like it came straight out of china to me.After I installed it and tried it out I was not really impressed,but very optomistic.With the unit on high , there is no way it would burn you.If you try and fill up a tub it will take about 5 times longer than a conventional tub.I dont think it is a good idea to use with a dishwasher as well.Taking showers is ok ,so long as you dont expect to have a super hot back soaking shower to ease some of those back ache pains away. It is true it does not use any electric when you are not running hot water.I have not had any mechanical problems with the unit up until now.After reading alot of other peoples reviews,I could see a pattern of about 3 years and then lookout.I guess that is about right for me as well.So overall I would rate these water heaters a 2 out of 10 .Think about it the only reason someone would want to go with this sytle water heater, is electric bill savings alone,I would say saving space is good ,but give me a break.In the end ,I think you would not have saved anything.......................
