Little Tikes has made some really great toys. Many of which are practically indestructible. Their quality and classic appeal to children make it possible to pass them on from child to the next and even the next!
Where buyers get confused is that Little Tikes made both child sized toys and identical, smaller dollhouse size pieces. The dollhouse pieces are done so well it's impossible from looking at a picture to tell the difference! In order to prevent bids placed on the wrong items here are some tips for both sellers and buyers:
Buyers:
- Check the item category before bidding. At the top of the screen it will either show Little Tikes - Child Size or Little Tikes - Dollhouse Size.
- Fully read the description. Most sellers will state that an item is the dollhouse size, or indicate a child can't play on the item.
- If in doubt, ask questions before buying!
Sellers:
- Make sure your listing in the right category
- Place the word dollhouse or child size in your listing title
- Make sure your description clearly states the size, dimensions of the toy
- If selling dollhouse items considering adding a ruler or other item to the picture so that buyers can quickly see this is a smaller item.
With a little effort by both parties perhaps we can avoid buyers being disappointed that they bid on the wrong items, and sellers having to pay fees for items that end up disputed.
