Suggestions:
- Check to see if your oven has the drying tool. - I was looking for a dehydrator for ages and found out that my oven has a built in food dehydrator, though its just called "Drying". It should be in the "more options" button of your oven. 75% of people that buy food dehydrators already have one in their oven.
- When buying a good food dehydrator buy only from the brands Nesco, or Excalibur. Try to avoid Deni and Ronco.
- Make sure the food dehydrator has at least 500 watts or else it would take ages to dry.
- Dehydrators take some space so make sure you buy one that matches the amount of storage you have.
- Dehydrating your food in the Sun can be way easier than using the machine. Its much faster too. Though since some people live in places where the sun doesn't shine much, a food dehydrator would be the right thing.
- There are many food dehydrators meant for different foods, some specialize in jerky, others in fruit rolls, and man in fruits and vegetables. Buy a food dehydrator that is good for the food you mostly want to dry.
