I feel like I'm an expert on this as I have spent months looking for the perfect costume!!

One - Take your measurements!!   Read the fine print at the bottom to see what size category you fall into.  If you're still not sure, send the seller a message. Last year when I ordered a costume I got an XL because according to the size chart, the waist would just barely fit me.  When I received it, the bust and waist were WAY too big.  Take the time to measure yourself!

Two - Keep in mind that we might not necessarily look like the perfect model in the picture.  It's hard to do, but you have to picture yourself in that outfit and also picture what accessories you will be using.

Three - Costumes usually run SMALL.  Small, medium and large may not necessarily be your typical standard sizes.  I've noticed that a large is often equivalent to a size 7 or 9, tops.  You might have to bump up a size. (YUCK, I HATE that!)  I'm a size 10 and I sometimes have to order an XL.  This year I found one that is true to women's sizes and not juniors, so I got a large.

Four - As much as you might HATE doing this, if you fall into the 12-14 category, you may have to go to what the costume maker considers a PLUS size (and Marilyn Monroe was a size 14 -- go figure!)  Check sellers "other items" to see what other sizes they have offered and if they have plus sizes.  Remember, they often go by junior's sizes.

Five - If you need the costume for a particular event, say HALLOWEEN, email the seller and make sure you will be able to receive it in time for the event before you bid.  They are usually more than happy to accomodate you.

Six - After you decide and bid on your costume, remember that eBay offers wigs, accessories, stockings, shoes, make-up, etc. that will enhance your costume.  It's one stop shopping!!

Seven - If you find a costume you love, search for that same costume on eBay and you may find it at an even lower price!

With all that being said, I ordered a fabulous costume for Halloween and can't wait to get it.  I verfied all the measurements and verified with the seller that I will receive it within plenty of time for my party!
