are you new at the art of magic?if so here are some tips you may need.

• getting the right tricks

when first staring out i recomend buying i book or dvd with more then one trick in it.make sure these tricks are not to complicated to perform.i recomend learning one trick at a time and practicing that one trick until it is perfect.if you try to learn more then one trick at a time you will probably not perform the trick perfectly.its important to fully practice the trick before you show the trick to anyone so a mistake is not made.

• get the right cards

as a magician you are going to need to use some props like a deck of cards.this is very important that use cards that are easy to perform with and you are comfortable using.what me and many other performers use are Bicycle poker 808 playing cards.these cards are durable and have an air flow finish which make them fan or spread out easily.there are many other brands of cards to use so try to find the right kind for you.

• now that you have cards........

now that you have the cards that you like the best.practice practice practice with them. you will probably notice that after using your cards they will become worn out and not have the same quality as when you first opened that pack.most magicians replace thier cards pretty often to keep the quality of the cards. 

• keeping a secret

exposing the secret to a trick after the trick is done is not what magic is about.even though it may be tempting try not to let others in on the secret on how the trick is done.by doing this people usually are more entertained by your tricks.

• practice practice practice

in the art of magic alot of practice is necessary.i usually practice my tricks about an hour every day. if you are serious about performing i recomend practicing at least 3 times a week.if you are not sooo serious practice whenever you can.
