I have bought many baby clothes off of Ebay in the past and there are many things to look for when you are planning on making a purchase.  I have often made the mistake of purchasing baby clothes only then to receive them and realize that they are not in the condition that I had thought they would be in. Here are the meanings to some of the terms used in item titles.

NWT - New With Tags

NWOT - New Without Tags

EUC - Excellent Used Condition

GUC - Good Used Condition

HTF - Hard To Find

VHTF - Very Hard To Find

It is important to understand and know these terms when you see them in a title. Especially since most people assume you know the meaning and do not define them in the item descriptions. Here are some tips on buying baby clothes:

* If looking to buy items that are new with tags, be sure that you can see the clothing tag in the picture of the item. Many people say NWT, but do not understand the term (new sellers), and the item really does not have the tags. If you do not see one, it would be a good idea to ask the seller to be sure that there is one.

*When buying clothing in lots especially clothing, it is best to buy from someone who lists the specifics for all of the items. Everyone has different definitions of good used condition and lots of use left in the item. Be sure to ask or look for stains and holes in the item description.

*When buying used clothing, be sure that the condition is stated. You don't want to be unpleasantly surprised when you receive your item. It is best to ask the seller about the condition before bidding.

*Never bid or buy an item that does not have the shipping cost stated in the listing. Many people will charge outrageous shipping in these cases, because they know that you are in the position to have to pay it.

*Never leave negative feedback without addressing the problem with the seller first. People get very upset about their feedback and many people will give it back to you if you leave it.  So you need to be careful.

*Be sure that the title, picture and item description match when buying an item. Most sellers use old listings revised for the current item, and sometimes they may forget to change something.

*Sellers often have more than one size of an item listed, so if the picture shows a different size, it is most likely the size of the item that was pictured, not the size that you will be receiving necessarily. Most sellers use the same picture for all sizes to cut down on the time spent on taking pictures.

*If looking for a specific item, be sure to check the store listings as well as the auction listings to be sure you are getting the best price.

*Always look at the shipping cost before purchasing an item. Often sellers will list the item at a low cost and then charge high shipping costs to make up for the loss. I add the item cost and the shipping cost and then compare with other buyers because that is the real price you are paying for the item.
