I am one of those people who wanted to grow my eBay business so bad that I listened to some of those get-rich-quick guys and spent many $$$ on nothing that led no-where.

There is always someone out there willing to part a hard working person from their money if they can.  If we let it happen, the only one who grows their business is the scam artist. This doesn't have to be.

All you need to grow your business on eBay and become very successful is a willingness to learn, willingness for the time it takes to read the material, and confidence to put into practice the knowlege that has been gleened by professionals over time.  As the saying goes, "there is no need to re-invent the wheel". It has already been proven that square wheels don't roll smoothly on any surface.  I will share a few sites that have been a help to me.

The first site I will mention is Omniture.  It is a free site tracking service that is offered with an ebay store.  Taking advantage of it will greatly improve your site traffic knowlege base and allow you to determine what YOUR shoppers are looking for, when YOUR shoppers are shopping, and where YOUR shopper traffic is coming from.  You will be able to determine this by checking all of the traffic reports and running the trended options on omniture once it is incorporated into your site plan, by logging in often to it.  Omniture is a great business tool. Investigate every feature in it! As I mentioned, this is offered with an eBay store.

Another great feature Omniture offers is their Key Word Selector tool.  It is a search optimization tool that allows you to type in a key word, such as Lingerie, and see how many times that word was used in searches by potential customers.  It never ceases to amaze me that the words I think are searched for are not the same words people type in to the search box.  This tool is found at:  inventoryoverture.com

Another helpful site is:  janelleelms.com  .  Janelle is a Keynote speaker, author, educator, and consultant for eBay.  She is also an Entrepenuer and all around good gal.  I first discovered her wealth of knowlege when I got a little "tip" note on my ebay webpage saying something to the effect, "get smarter" .  I clicked on it and found some of the excerpts from eBay Live.  Since I was not able to attend eBay Live in Las Vegas this year, I listend to the video clips and found a tremendous lot of help there.  I changed some things on my site and my site traffic immediately improved.  The video clips from eBay Live site can now be found in eBay University in the seller help tools section.  A blessing in disguise!

Janelle is a down to Earth kind of girl that has learned by trial and error.  She is a powerseller, has become very successful in her business, and probably has tried many of the things that simply don't work before becoming successful.  Again, there is no need to re-invent the wheel.  There is not enough time in a lifetime to make all of the mistakes ourselves.  It would do us well to joy in the triumphs of others who've become successful, like Janelle. And, to LEARN from them.

You can find the video clips from eBay Live Las Vegas at:  ebayuniversity.com  ( you will have to type in the www) or by going into the site map on eBay and looking under seller tools.   Navigate around in there and find it.  Once you've found it, bookmark it! You will find it is well worth the effort!

Growing your eBay business takes a lot of hard work and effort.  Remember anything worth having is worth working and waiting for.  You can do it!!!

Thanks, and Best to you, Teri Naylor
