First, let me start by saying off-road fog or driving lights say they are waterproof, but
they are only water-proof to a certain extreme or should I say they are given to much extreme.

If you are swamping your fog lights on the bumpers in big truck size holes...
one tip is to silicone the wire hole shut where the wires come out of your fog lights.

Some people want to hang the fog or driving lights upside down...if you do,
I would silicone the wire hole up where the wires come out of the
housings--water could get into the housing if hung upside down.

Another tip is a old farmer who is out in field all day in pouring down rain,
mud, swamps, you name it..he's had the best driving lights and the cheapest
lamps of all brands brands and all of it got water or moisture in them.

His trick was to take the fog light apart and put a light silicone or
even vaseline in the rubber seal that attaches to housing and lens
and then even used waterproof tape around the outer rings and housing.

Not to say that you have to do this, but for extreme swamping...these
tips might help you or give you your own ideas to build on these few
tips for your off-road 4x4 fog or driving lights.

Another Tip: Do not pressure wash your fog lights up close.
That's a lot of pressure and you should use care around them
or even in a car wash.

Another thing..some drivers want to hang their fog lights upside down..this
will let water in the conduit hole where your wiring comes out of the
housing..silicone this up..if you hang your lights upside down.
