If you've ever used embossing powder, you know that when you tap your project to remove the excess EP, not all of it is removed.  To remove those last strays, before you stamp your design in ink, wipe your area lightly with a fabric softener sheet.  Its anti-static properties prevents the EP from sticking to the page and is more easily removed so that it only sticks to the ink.
