I learned this excellent tip from the ladies on one of the mineral cosmetic forums, about the Buffer brushes, kabukis, etc.
Most all brushes are going to shed a bit, but we can solve some of the problem with the large headed brushes like the Buffers, Kabukis, etc. Has your brush started shedding little filler hairs, about 1/4 to 1/2 inch long? Here's the fix! Just take your brush when it's completely dry, and rub it vigorously on a clean towel. This will remove those little filler hairs!
I see this happen when I wash my Buffers, they start losing those short filler hairs, so I then just let it dry & rub it briskly on a towel, and voila, it's done!
You could use this trick on any brush really, but the large head brushes are the most susceptible to losing the little filler hairs.
