Tie Dye shirts and clothing are each unique in their own way- no two are ever alike. We receive a lot of questions about how to care for tie dyes and if the dye and colors will run or not. The answer: when you first receive your tie dye clothing from us, it has already been washed after dying and pre-shrunk. Wash your new tie dye first before wearing and hang to dry. This will get out any excess dyes and won't turn your socks and t-shirts different colors (of course I am still guilty of mixing in some colors with whites on occasion).
We recommend cold water washing. It is also important to remove items from the washer immediately after the washing cycle is completed.
There are only two things you should keep in mind with a brand new tie-dye. Do not allow new tie-dye to soak for extended periods of time. Brand new tie-dye should be immediately removed from washer as soon as the washing cycle is complete. If you have allowed the item to soak for a prolonged period of time and notice some running, wash again immediately and then dry immediately. Our Tee Shirts, Girls Dresses, Beach Towels, Long Sleeve Shirts, Onsies & Creepers, Hoodies & Zippered Hoodie Sweatshirts shouldn't run or bleed; removing them immediately from the washer is your best insurance against an unintended accident (like pink socks and underwear :0) Below is an example of our SpongeBob Squarepants t-shirt It is a 100% cotton Hanes shirt- ready to wear and easy to care for.
As always, love and care for your unique tie dye and it will love you back. Remember: Tie Dye's are not just for hippies and counter-culture-hip-beat- people, they are for everyone. Tie Dye never goes out of style. Check out our beautiful Tie Dye Items in our eBay store.
