Tibi- A Guide to Tibi & Fashion

The TIBI ® line of clothing is the work of American designer Amy Smilovic.  Smilovic's professional background is actually that of a business executive who worked in the advertising field.  She studied art in college, though, as well as business, and has always had a flair for illustration. 

Then Smilovic moved to Hong Kong, where she made a career switch and began designing clothes that reflected both a slightly retro sensibility and the culture around her.  Her subsequent designs have drawn inspiration from cultures around the world and are always built around her own sense of what she would actually wear. 

Fans consider her fun and playful designs to be adorable, and they have been featured in numerous magazines like Cosmopolitan.  TIBI clothes are designed to be a good choice for nights when you want to go out looking fabulous but not overdressed.  In other words, the look is absolutely chic, but always casual. 

A lot of TIBI clothing has an air of youthful exuberance, with colors like pinks, yellows, and pastel blues.  Fun stripes and eye-catching patterns abound in Smilovic's collections.  A silk skirt with a blue and green botanical print, for example, captures TIBI's perfect-for-summer aura.  Other pieces, like many of her tops, have fun and exquisite details like beading or decorative stones.
