A princess party is perfect for your little princess. It is just the type of theme party many young girls dream of having.

Below is a suggested menu, but of course you should try to tailor it to the preferences to your child and the other children attending (if you know their preferences).
Main Dish: Star Shaped Sandwiches: Use a small star cookie cutter to cut peanut butter and jelly sandwiches (or just jelly for those allergic to peanuts) into star shapes.
Side Dishes:
Snow White’s Apples – Of course, no poison ones like in Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.
Star Shaped Cookies: Decorate them with pink frosting and sprinkles.
Cake: One can be ordered princess themed from most local grocery stores. You can of course make one using you kid’s favorite cake mix. Depending on your skills you can cut the cake into a castle shape. You can also make the cake in clean sand castle buckets (pictured below). You can decorate it with white and pink frosting. You can add toy flags, glass slippers, princess figurines, and jewels. You can sprinkle graham cracker crumbs or sprinkles as fairy dust.

Drinks: Pink lemonade is a good option for this theme.
Table Centerpiece: A small castle makes a great centerpiece. You can use a sand castle bucket or toy castle. Surround it with bead necklaces. You can also sprinkle jewels around. Top the sand castle with a tiara for a nice effect. Example shown below.

Welcome Sign: The sign can be a simple Happy Birthday sign the party is for a birthday. If it is not specifically a birthday party, it can simply say Royal Celebration. Another alternative is “Welcome to (insert kid’s name) Royal Ball.”

Dress Like a Princess: Let the kids dress like princesses. Provide bead necklaces, plastic rings, and stick on earrings. They can use the tiaras they can make as described above.
Pin the Tiara on the Princess: Draw a princess (without her tiara) on a large piece of paper. Make little tiaras and cut them out. You can either make the tiaras on sticker paper or use tape to make them stick to the paper. Make sure you make some indication of whose tiara is whose attempt of putting it on the princess. You can number them or put the attendees names on the tiara pieces.
Princess Movie Marathon: This works great if the party is also a sleepover. You can also just show one movie that fits in with you time limit of the party. Some possible movies include Cinderella, The Princess Diaries, Sleeping Beauty, and Beauty and the Beast .
Invitations
I offer Princess Party Invitations , as seen below, in my store that can be personalized. You can also have the kid make their own invitations. Send out a couple weeks before party. Make sure you give address and/or directions to the party, as well as phone number for parents to call to RSVP or if they get lost.Food
Some think the decorations are most important, while others think the activities are the most important part of a kid’s party. Although all are important, personally I think the food is most important. You do not want to deal with a bunch of hungry kids. Believe me they are the toughest.Below is a suggested menu, but of course you should try to tailor it to the preferences to your child and the other children attending (if you know their preferences).

Have the kid(s) help make the decorations. You can have them draw and cut out tiaras, jewels, castles, and glass slippers to be put up around the party area. You can also find related coloring pages for them to color. You can add streamers and balloons, too.Table Centerpiece: A small castle makes a great centerpiece.
