A Halloween party is a great way to celebrate this spooky season and it does not have to be a spooky party, although you can definitely go for the haunted house kind.
Main Dish: Bat Wings (Really chicken wings)
Sides:
Pumpkin cookies
Deviled eggs: Here is a modified recipe to make Blood Red Deviled Eggs . Pictured below.

Drinks: Witch’s Brew (use food coloring to make lemonade, fruit punch, or other drink green)
Spider Web: You can make a web on the wall, a corner ceiling one works best, out of string, yarn, or store bought web. Add plastic spiders or homemade paper spiders. Example paper spider pictured below.

Pumpkin Decorating: Supply a pumpkin per kid or suggest they bring their own and have a few extras for those who do not bring one. Provide markers, paint, glue, sequins, construction paper, and other art supplies. Be sure to cover the work area with some newspaper. Let the kids create their own scary or funny pumpkins. Use toothpicks for adding 3D contruction paper embellishments. Example Sorcerer Mickey pumpkin is pictured below.

Halloween Movie Marathon: This works great if the party is also a sleepover. You can also just show one movie that fits in with you time limit of the party. Some possible movies include The Haunted Mansion, Bedknobs and Broomsticks, Scooby Doo: The Movie, and the Harry Potter movies.
Invitations
You can make them using clip art on the computer or have the kids make them by hand. Send out a couple weeks before party. Make sure you give address and directions to party, as well as phone number for parents to call to RSVP or if they get lost.Food
Some think the decorations are most important, while others think the activities are the most important part of a kid’s party. Although all are important, personally I think the food is most important. You do not want to deal with a bunch of hungry kids. Believe me they are the toughest.Main Dish: Bat Wings (Really chicken wings)

Decorations
Have the kid(s) help make the decorations. You can have them draw spiders, pumpkins, monsters, bats, and/or skeletons to be put up around the party area. You can also find related coloring pages for them to color. You can add streamers and balloons, too.Spider Web: You can make a web on the wall, a corner ceiling one works best, out of string, yarn, or store bought web. Activities
Indoor Trick-or-Treating: This is great for kids not ready to trick-or-treat after dark or when the weather is bad. Also, perfect for when you hold your party on a non-Halloween night. Have parents go into specific rooms designated by a trick-or-treat sign and then have the kids go around and get the different treats. It is fun to have entirely different items for each room such as pencils, coloring books, and other party favors. For added fun have the kids decorate their own paper bags for collecting their treats in. Example of bags decorated with foam stamps is pictured below.Pumpkin Decorating: Supply a pumpkin per kid or suggest they bring their own and have a few extras for those who do not bring one.
