Those individuals were very well versed with their IBM literature/resources and aided by inclusive specification than to ponder upon assumptions and then try to sell items that have no merits. Now, contrary to popular belief here on ebay. Sellers are stating their cmos batteries are for the 560 models, but not per FRU 46H4132. IBM FRU 46H4132 remains being what the engineers at IBM Thinkpad Division made those 560 Notebooks with equiping them with a coin cell battery holder, and stocking it with a  3 volt CR1220 Lithium non-rechargeable coin cell. Item # 12 of the IBM Thinkpad 560 series notebooks provides the correct part number FRU 46H4132 showing the round coin cell CR1220.

Now the typical Question: Why then are sellers stating their cmos battery is for the IBM Thinkpad 560 when the above information states contrary? The answer is that IBM made many different models hinging around specs, cpu type and bring about evolving changes due to competition, performance driven and client types such as end users versus Business Commerical application driven needs. For example, the IBM Thinkpad 560x, 560z both use the same type of cmos backup battery, FRU 12J1695 which is a CR2032 based Non Rechargeable Lithium battery with 2 wires and 2 pin connector plug.
