Here is a Quote Taken from the Blue Willi's TAGS:
Company founder Jens Marius Willi Thomassen
He set out with an aim to prove that the right combination of the very best materials, dedicated craftsmanship and
good ideas is what it takes to set new standards in production of clothes. And that’s still the way we’re working.
We have gathered our knowhow from a lifetime of making clothes. We remain focused.... on making clothes for people....
clothes in which to live.
Living people deserve living clothes. And that’s why we use only 100 % pure natural materials in Blue Willi’s clothes.
Cotton, flax, silk and wool are our elements. Each with a history and qualities of its own and each manufactured in the best
ttaditions of fine workmanship. Like the materials, the colours too are the best. Blue Willi´s clothes have either the natural
colours of the untreated materials of which they are made, or are dyed with the finest colours available. One of these is Indigo.
As one of natures own dyes, Indigo has been used by man for more than 4000 years. The universal appeal that Indigo has as a
living colour is based on the ability to fade gradually and naturally with wear. The intense blue colour is applied so that it only
affects the surface fibres of the cotton, leaving the core of the yarn undyed.
Wear them, rough them up, wash them and dry them. Then start all over again! As the clothes are used and washed the colour
will fade and leave the signature of the owner’s natural wear thus allowing the clothes to age and mature their beauty. The rougher
you treat them the more mellow they become. Wear them, rough them up, wash them and dry them. So, you might suspect that
clothes of this quality should be treated with caution..?
Well, take a look at this:
All Blue Willi’s knitwear made from cotton, flax and silk is machine-washable (at 60 degrees Celcius, 140 degrees Fahrenheit) and
should be tumble-dried for best comfort. All our woollen knitwear is machine-washable (at 30 degrees Celcius, 85 degrees Fahrenheit)
using a suitable detergent and programme, and should be tumble-dried inside-out. When washing, please follow the instructions given
on the care label of all Blue Willi’s garments. All Blue Willi’s clothes come pre-washed, tumble-dried and thus pre-shrunk. As the clothes
are used and washed they will gradually change their appearance and leave the signature of the owner’s natural wear, thus allowing the
clothes to age and enhance their beauty.
