The problem with selling embroidery machines on ebay is the buyers are not educated enough about there purchases.Well here we go again. My mom just had a bad experience with selling a machine on ebay. One I bought for her as a gift right here on ebay. She sold a pe 150 and threw in a ton of items as gifts. Now I bought the cds she threw in as gifts right here from another seller. First the lady tells her that the things she sent were old lol. not new and she found a better deal wants her money back. Well everything was described exactly on the condition which my mom only used the spools maybe one or two times and the others were new spools in plastic. I even embroidered with the machine before she sold it so I know it was working perfectly. On top of it we took the machine to the dealer to get it checked out and cleaned for the lady and we even bought a new plastic cover for her because moms cover had her name embroidered in it and we thought well the lady isnt going to want the cover with moms name in it so we bought a new one for her.

mom threw in a bunch of gifts and the cds she was given from me which I bought on ebay  as welll as bought designs on line. Now that she was told no mom wasnt going to refund her money everything was described exactly as it was shipped she is trying to say mom did copyright infringement by sending the regular disks she recieved with her machine to the lady. What nerve huh? scammers will do anything to make a buck. Further the lady said mom didnt send everything. now I sat here counting spool after spool after spool of thread and mom even threw in 3 extras. a whole bag full of free goodies ...so I have the questions into ebay now about this situation. The thing we found about at the sewing machine dealership is this is a norm on ebay for scammers what they are now trying to do is buy the premium auctions and take the items they get out of them and send back the cheapest stuff they can or even just put rocks in the package. That way they keep the items and even your machine ! or they send back a machine that is busted. We took the serial numbers down we took pictures of what was sent and she had 2 witnesses so the lady isnt going to get far in her fraudulant claim. Its sad that ebay has gotten this way.

Mom was so excited to give her all of the little extras and such nice thread and everything we even spent extra on shipping the lady did not pay. so now what does she get but heart ache.

The fact is when you deal in embroidery world it has gone digital. meaning most great designs no longer do you have to buy on cards. You buy them on the internet and download them to cd. or to your computer and then put them on cd because I know my computer requires me to download the designs to my computer before installing on a cd. Now most new machines Like the ones my mom has and I had at one time require a separate computer at your sewing station to be hooked to your machine. like a laptop. Well you certainly arent going to lug your personal pc to the sewing station everytime you want to sew. So you are going to download the designs to your main computer and then to cd so that you are able to put them in your laptop. anyway most directions come with the computers now that even tell you to do this. so if you are going to accuse someone of copyright infringement when you get these blank covered cds in the mail you are really going to end up looking completely stupid. You will not only look stupid but ebay will know you arent educated on your purchase before hand and throw out your claim. Please know if you do get these blank cds in the mail with your machines that the designs were bought on the internet and every design bought on the internet comes with a implied use and no no one has done any copyright infringement. lol. If you educate your self before purchasing a machine you will be very happy with your purchase as this woman shouldve been with hers. Also when getting cds many that have been purchased on the internet will be in zip files. you need a zip opener on your computer like winzip to open them. Just because you only see 50 pictures and the little icons of files of 1550 more does it mean you only have 50 designs it means you have 1550 of files that you need to unzip....winzip will do this on 4 clicks and unzip all of them onto your computer.

SO PLEASE EDUCATE YOURSELF BOTH IN SELLING AND BUYING.I should have put more info in the auction like the paragraph above but had no idea someone wouldnt know what they were doing purchasing the equipment.

You have to be very careful. Its so much better to try to sell something in person when it comes to high dollar items. That way no one can say you didnt send this or that. and for heavens sake take pictures of everything you send and get witnesses like she did. She was so smart to do that. She my mom so I take her for her word. She was smart to know that maybe someone wouldnt.Plus I was too cheap to load all of the pictures anyway.lol. but the fact is ebay is full of scammers and this is just another example of what to watch out for. holiday scams trying to make a buck off an old lady. absolutely shameful. well paypal got back to me today. and they told the lady no way was she getting her money back ...thank god they werent as uneducated as she.
