I will make this short and sweet. I have found the easiest way to make your glass sparkle like diamonds. When your finished washing your glass ware rinse in a bath of plain warm water and white vinegar. The vinegar is a mild acid which help cut the film left by soaps which are alkaline. You will not believe how your art, cut and pressed glass will shine. Plus vinegar is gentle enough that it will not harm the gilding or enameling on your best pieces of glass. Also if you have a piece of glass that has a build up of lime in the detail. Soak the piece of glass in pure white vinegar. Every once in a while remove it and clean it gently with a tooth brush where it is heavily limed. Keep doing this until the build up is gone. You don't have to worry about the gilding or enamel, vinegar is such a mild acid that it doesn't affect either, but it will do the job on lime build up. I have had a piece of eapg that I had soaking for about 6 months(very heavily limed). About once a week I removed it and tooth brushed the pressed design then put it back in the vinegar to soak longer. As I mentioned it took about 6 months to remove all the lime(it was bad the glass was actually clouded where the pattern was). The piece sparkled like cut glass. The bonus is that is didn't affect the gilding in the least. This is just one extra use for a simple household item and it works great.
