Welcome to Part 1 of DaKingSales eBay Sellers Guide
Part 1 - eBay Name (or Store Name) and Contact Info
Your eBay Name is one of the most important parts of your eBay account. This is what will be the first thing people look at, and will give the most everlasting impression. When looking at your items, when leaving feedback, when reading your reviews, and when looking to purchase from you again - everything deals with your name.
When searching and thinking of a name, every seller must think of what matters the most to them. My ideas behind a name may be different then yours. So I will elaborate on my name, and hopefully give you understanding as to how to make the perfect name.
DaKingSales
DAK actually represents my name, since it is my initials. The ending "ing" means in the process of doing something, so in person, I always said I was DAKing. Hence the name DaKing. However since DaKing was taken, I added the best next word to help show what I would be doing on eBay - selling or Sales.
So, when making your eBay account (or Store), make sure your name sounds professional, and that people can easily remember it. Now that you have a name, you want people to be able to contact you, and to have you name stuck in their head.
It also usually helps to make a name based on what you will be selling. If your only going to sell shoes, it helps to have the word shoes in your eBay name and/or Store. The idea is to make the buyer associate your name with a specific item. So if your name is eBayShoeSeller, they will associate you with selling shoes on eBay!
Contact Information
The next step I usually take (this is done at the same time that I am making my eBay account / Store name actually) is visiting AIM.com, Yahoo.com, and Hotmail.com and checking to see if I can make free email accounts that match my eBay name.
Taken from AIM.com, Yahoo.com, and Hotmail.com in that order.
I like to offer Customer Service online, and have people Instant Message my eBay name (or something similar)
The best program to use (in my opinion) is Trillian, which allows you to sign in to every instant message account at once. Now, with your eBay name, and the same messnger names (or something similar, like in my case DaKingeBay instead of DaKingSales), you can easily offer great customer service, and have an eBay name that sticks out to people.
Best of luck, and if this guide helped you, pleave vote Yes at the bottom left, and if it did not help, please message me at
