This guide is based on experiences I personally have dealt with and viewed on Ebay. First of all, DO NOT buy from a seller that have under 100 transactions unless they have 100% feedback!

Second, I DO NOT reccomend buying from a seller that has less than 98% feedback. However, I personally believe everyone deserves the benefit of the doubt. I say that to say this, READ everyones feedback, there are two sides to everyones story. There are times that the buyer makes an "immature" call and jumps the gun and immediately leaves bad feedback just to be vindictive. Sometimes a buyer does not read the sellers page enough or long enough for that matter, to see ALL the details until it's too late. I have also read a sellers page and saw ratings like 97-99% and saw a lot of great feed back and then saw where a buyer jumped the gun or did not communicate well enough with the seller over TINY and PETTY matters because of LACK of communication. Give that seller the benefit of the doubt or ample amount of time to address or rectify the situation before you assume you have been wronged and simply email a friendly note adressing the matter. Remember the old saying "You can catch more flies with honey than you can with vinegar?"

Third, your feedback score is basically and essentially your credit score on Ebay. Many times I had not recieved feedback and I simply sent friendly reminders before AND after the transaction and more times than not, I got the feedback that I sought. A lot of Ebay sellers are very busy because they are "powersellers" and also sometimes  do not have an automated feedback reply as some do.

Last and not least, you as an Ebay buyer should pay promptly! That will do more for your Ebay experience and your feedback rating than anything else! My best reccomendation would be to set up a Paypal account which many Ebay sellers like and/or require. You won't be sorry and I promise you this, it's worth it!

In closing, Ebay sellers have a responsibility to buyers to give them value and service for their money which is why we buy here anyway. It is no different than buying a product anywhere else online or simply going to the store or your local mall to make your purchase. However, we as the buyer have a responsiblity as well to the seller. Do what you say you are going to do as we expect that from the sellers and also pay them as easily and as promptly as you can. If you do these things I have mentioned in this guide, BOTH parties should had a great success on Ebay,  as this company can only thrive on communication.

Thank you for reading and Happy Ebaying,

Danny Mullins(hurricanehannahfan)
