Clarity Enhanced Diamonds

Submitted by Eli, sales manger of CaratsDirect2U Diamond Jewelry sold on Amazon.

Clarity enhanced diamonds, sometimes referred to as fracture filling, are a very popular on internet sites that offer diamonds for sale.

Clarity enhanced diamonds were developed in 1982 by an Israeli diamond cutter Zvi Yehuda. He discovered that he could improve the clarity of some diamonds and erase some inherent flaws, by a process called enhancement. This process enhances the diamonds' general appearance, causing them to appear more valuable than they really are.

During the clarity enhancement process, diamonds that have small cracks and fissures are filled in with a clear glasslike substance, thus camouflaging their flaws.
This process enables the customer to purchase a larger diamond for the same price as a smaller one.

For many years our company did not manufacture enhanced diamonds. However, over the years many of the wholesalers and retailers that we supply asked us to produce enhanced diamonds for them.  These led us to the realization that the customer understands the benefits of enhanced diamonds and are eager to purchase them. Since then, we were very surprised how successful our enhanced diamonds had become.

There area few important facts to know about enhanced diamonds:

* Enhanced diamonds are real diamonds and come from the same mines as all other natural diamonds.

* The cost of an enhanced diamond is always lower than a similar un-enhanced diamond. This allows customers to get more value for their money.

* The clarity of an enhanced diamond can only revert back to its' original state if it is exposed to fire or acid for an extended period of time. It is unlikely that this will happen to an enhanced diamond under normal circumstances.  However, you must be sure to notify your jeweler if your diamond jewelry will be undergoing any kind of repair or re-setting.

* However, should the clarity of the diamond change under the previous circumstances, most jewelers would know how to re-enhance the diamond.

In summary, the choice is up to the customer.  Only he or she can decide if an enhanced diamond is the best choice for them.
