Biography of Leslie Charteris

Leslie Charteris was born in Singapore March 12, 1907 as Leslie Charles Bowyer Yin. In 1926 he changed his name to Leslie Charteris. He was married four times (Pauline Schishkin in 1931, Barbara Meyer in 1938, Elizabeth Bryant Borst in 1943, Audrey Long in 1952). He moved to the United States in 1932, returning to Europe later in life. He had one daughter, Patricia Ann. He died April 15, 1993 at Princess Margaret's Hospital in Windsor, near London.
