The purpose of this guide is to share information I have learned over the last couple of years when it comes to the value of china replacement services. I dropped a large meat platter from a set of china that I inherited and was heart broken because I knew it was a discontinued china pattern. A few weeks later I was talking about it when someone suggested I try to find it on the internet and that is how my business started!

When you are searching for your particular pattern, include the manufacturer's name, such as Noritake, Mikasa, etc. as well as the pattern name and pattern number if you know it. Many patterns have the same name but are from different manufacturers and are totally different.

Check the feedback of the seller and ask any questions you may have right up front! Most sellers are willing to take more pictures of the item if there is something you are not sure of. Measure the pieces you are trying to replace because many patterns had not only 5 1/2" bread plates but also 6" dessert plates and 7" luncheon plates! You got your soup bowls, berry bowls, cereal bowls..and well you get the picture! Check the condition carefully and decide if a minor flaw would interfere with your purpose or not bother you at all.

Lastly, remember when you find the pieces you want that the seller has spent much time and effort to shop for you!  Many of the items are so specific that sellers may have only one or two buyers interested in that one piece at the time it is listed and may have to relist many times before that one person finds it! The timing has to be just right! So, if you think an $80 sugar bowl that is listed for $20 should be listed for $.99 think again... Just appreciate the fact that you found it, it's a bargain and you want it!
